The City of DeWitt Police Department is now accepting resumes for a Sergeant command position.  The City of DeWitt Police Department will accept resumes until the position is filled, with the first review of resumes beginning on June 21st.

The City of DeWitt Police Department Command staff consists of a Chief of Police and two (2) Sergeant positions.  Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in supervisory law enforcement.

The applicant must also meet the following minimum qualifications:

  1. Possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License
  2. Be MCOLES certified
  3. Michigan resident
  4. Successfully pass a background investigation, psychological/medical exam, and drug screen

Sergeant starting pay range is $33.34 to $35.04, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes MERS Hybrid retirement and healthcare coverage.
