The City of DeWitt Police Department is now accepting resumes for a part-time Police Officer position. The starting pay for this position is $20.60/hr. with overtime paid holidays, paid training opportunities, uniform and equipment provided. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement. The applicant must have good interpersonal-public relations skills and be able to work in a variety of shifts including holidays, weekends, and special events.

The applicant must also meet the following minimum qualifications:

  1. Possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License
  2. Be MCOLES certified
  3. Michigan resident
  4. Successfully pass a background investigation, psychological/medical exam, and drug screen
