Alyssa Ramirez – City Clerk

Originally from Muskegon, Michigan, Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Central Michigan University and brings valuable experience as both a legal assistant and city clerk. Appointed on June 3, 2026, she looks forward to serving the DeWitt community. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys attending concerts, camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

The City Treasurer's Duties include:

The City Treasurer serves as the general accountant of the City and shall have custody of City funds, money, and securities and shall be responsible for the deposit and safekeeping of City funds, money, and securities.
The City Treasurer is responsible for the administration of the property tax collection system, balancing and disbursing tax collections, journal entries, balancing of the general ledger, reconciliation of all bank accounts and financial reports.
